Canyon Diablo- Play Test
« on: September 26, 2007, 08:36:13 PM »
Howdy Gang,

Last weekend my father and I hosted a scenario for our friends; It's a scenario we are going to host at Fall-In this year, and our pals came over for a night of whiskey, whooping, shooting, and rustling to help us play test and tweak the game we like to call Canyon Diablo.

Below is a little summary of the game and some pics.

Canyon Diablo
Ruleset- Two Hour Wargames Six Gun Sound: Blaze of Glory
Players- 7
Factions:
Town Marshal
2 Rival Gangs
Family of sod busters
Gunslingers
Bounty Hunters
Arizona Rangers

Backgrouund- The year is 1880 and you have the misfortune of stepping off the stagecoach in the meanest, toughest, most lawless town in all of the wild west, Canyon Diablo; Tougher than Tombstone and Dodge City combined! The first town lawman was sworn in at 4:00 in the afternoon and buried at 8:00 pm! Main street, dubbed hell street, featured 14 saloons, 6 brothels, 4 dance halls and a couple of eateries. Only one resident was recorded to have died of natural causes. . . can you survive long enough to catch the next stage out of town? This semi historical scenario is based on the real Arizona town of the same name.

All is quiet in Canyon Diablo. . .

The chickens are scratching for feed.

The Blacksmith has left his shop for lunch.

The horses are lazily grazing.

All is quiet until the stage rolls into town!

A bunch of Rustlers looking for their next target.

Strange men ride into town.

The streets become crowded!

Bullets fly as the Undertaker looks on!

Casualties are great.

Note- No animals were harmed in the playing of this scenario  :D

Carnage !  Just another day in Canyon Diablo eh? Sweep up all the bits
and get ready for tomorrow !

The town looks ace, really alive with detail and character and it looks like
you had a fun time.
When you have to shoot, shoot don't talk.

Visit a town called Malice

You couldn't fail to have fun in a set-up like that

Should be very popular at Fall In.

Wish I could get over to the USA to visit one of those big old cons you have there :(

Cheers,
Ian

I bet the 3 horses in the center would beg to differ
Barbarella: What's that screaming? A good many dramatic situations begin with screaming...
