Battle of five Armies
« on: March 18, 2011, 04:47:53 PM »
My latest project is The Battle of Five Armies. To recycle some figures already lying around I came up with figure alternatives for each race. First up are Elves, and Men of Dale. I used 15mm Essex figures for both of these.

For the Dwarves amd Goblins I'm using 10mm figures. I chose GW Chaos marauders for Dwarves due to the variety of
helmets, weapons, armour, etc.  Next to a 15mm figure they play the part quite well.  Copplestone Orcs fill my ranks of Goblins and Warg riders.

Critiques are welcomed.

Not bad. A good way to get the armies done and not use more expensive figures.

Blue for the elves? Is that an homage to the Bakshi animated feature?

The color for the elves is inspired by the animated version of The Hobbit.
