My paint is cracking!?!?
« on: March 07, 2011, 05:24:37 PM »
I am seeing cracks in my paint.

I tried using a glazing medium to layer shades in the folds of cloth (Black Scorpion Outlaw Cowboys).  Upon drying, I see cracks.  This would look cool if I were trying to create some classical Italian villa but I'm painting long duster jackets.  Not the same thing.

Two questions:

1) Why the cracking?

2) How can I fill it in?  Will multiple thin layers of base coat do the job?

It's the medium. You may have diluted the paint with too much water. I know of no remedy except from starting over.
