Painting in Satanic Waste
« on: March 08, 2011, 08:00:08 PM »
Hi folks,

I have made myself a bit scarce the last weeks/months as I wanted to concentrate more on painting painting more decently again after all these playing pieces I have finished during the last years. The Prof and Lurch gave a pack of the 'Witches of the Apocalypse' and I instantly fell in love with one of them(The witches, not one of the other two...).

I had the idea of her standing next to barrels of atomic satanic waste quite early, but then I thought that she might as well use it as some kind of warpaint, so I sculpted a tiny brush and put it next to her right foot where she would have dropped it after use.
If you look closely at the second picture, you might not only notice this brush, but that her meal stares back at her...

As usual, the pictures do not do the piece any justice at all, but that's how it goes.
Hope you enjoy the pics!
 :)

Very unsettling, reminds me a little of the depravities in the graphic novel 'Crossed' not for the faint hearted, I read it once, very again. Deeply unsettling, so this piece is in good company.

Well done.

Well-formed.

The tattered paper label and flower print stick out especially for me.
