Hi Everyone I'm new here,

Decided I few week ago to get some putty and give sculting a go  :'(

here's my first attempt. a Poc Apoc Maniac!

Let me know what you think?  :?

Amalric:
First off, welcome aboard.

I think you sculpt is very looking good so far,
far better than I could do in fact.
Are you sculpting over a dolly?
What is it's size compared to other minis?

My only critical comments are that he seems flat and his arms seem a bit short.
When your arm is hanging at your side, your fist comes to about the bottom of your crotch.
Try it and look at yourself in the mirror and you'll see what I mean.

That being said, it also looks like he is waiting for you to try something so he can bash in your head with his iron pipe or whatever is in his right hand turns out to be.

I very much like his rag tag appearance.
He would be useful in so many settings.
I look forward to seeing him finished.
Thanks for posting.

Bako:
He's a well-fed bloke, isn't he?

Seems to be a pretty damn fine first if you ask me. His pose is what we drawing types call a 'stiff' however. If you're looking for more help in anatomy I would recommend Google images for posing people, general anatomy and bone structure. Just a little of an inside-look and reference material can drastically improve structural work. Furthermore, I should add that the best poses always have a 'running curve' through their entirety. The human body is very flexible with many curves.

I do like the intimidating slant of his stance, mind you, especially if he's in front of a smaller figure.

The clothing lacks some obvious details, but otherwise you do have flow and weight down properly, and the lack of details is easily justified by the setting.

I've seen figures half as good being cast and sold!  :o First attempt? WOW!  I do agree with the majority of what Bako and Amalric said, however, you'll improve and if this is your starting point, sky's the limit.  :)

NurgleHH:
Good sculp. but some point. The Hand is a little bit to big (always a 28mm Problem, in my opinion).
