« on: March 10, 2011, 02:01:26 PM »

Hi Dave/Paint Pig,

welcome to the LAF.

Poke away, is what I say, especially if you're getting into VSF. LAF is the best forum by far for VSF-ery that I've ever found, and we're quite happy to be poked any time you like.

VSF I know, but what does VSR stand for?
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

VSF I know, but what does VSR stand for?

I think it's either 'Victorian Scientifical Romance' or a previously undiscovered form of electric slot-car racing from the early 1980s ('Very Speedy Racing' perhaps?)

vsr=victorian science romance although at the time i think they called the novels scieince romance.

Dont worry I wont be poking too vigorously, and yes in Queensland winter can be like a mild spring, unfortunately the cold weather can only last as little as 8 weeks before it is back in the mid 20's C.

Mid 20's eh? Sometimes life is just unadulterated hell.

It's the middle of March and walking abround outside is to risk frostbite.

It's not all sun and surf Bezzo, where I am it's bloody hot in summer, and freezing in winter, have to break the ice in our water troughs.

 And welcome Paintpig :D

Sydney is spoiled for weather, I think :) Although the humidity can be a bit oppresive.

Welcome to the forums, mate. Glad to see more and more Antipodeans on here lately!
