This set up looks great.  I particularly like the gas station and the Mark cars.  I ordered a set of the cars for myself just today.
When in doubt, have two guys come through the door with guns.

How did you do the road surface? It looks great - I love the cracked asphalt and the crater (which looks like a Pegasus Hobbies one to me, although it's worked into the terrain piece seamlessly) looks fantastic. I'm hoping to do a Car Wars-type game in 28mm at some point in the future, so any info on how you did your roads would be great.
Thanks!

Actually, my method is fairly similar to the one linkws above, though I used gatorboard so the cracks are really defined.  Hindsight, I would probably use MDF since I didn't realize you can get such good results with carving.  As for the painting, I coated the entire road in Woodland Scenics Asphalt, which is a great black/grey color, and then simply drushbrush khaki.  That's it.  Thanks for all the compliments.

Joey

P.S.  The crater is from GW. I just a cut rough chunk out of the gatorboard to match the shape of the crater, inset it, then covered the holes with compound.

Aha! Thanks, Deathwing. A GW crater, then - but beautifully worked into the road surface. Very convincing - as is the whole board.
