Scratchbuilding Contest at Roebeast's Blog
« on: March 17, 2011, 05:55:04 PM »
In an effort to kick start my Spring Cleaning I decided to start using some of the junk I've accumulated over the years. So I took inspiration from Rick Priestley, took a deodorant container and glued stuff to it.

I was so happy that I've decided to sponsor a scratchbuilding contest based on Mr. Priestley's concept.

Check out my blog for details!

Lovely looking vehicle and a great idea. Surprised you didn't get a wealth of responses... perhaps you should have mentioned the $150 worth of prizes... money is a great motivator for so many people.  ;)

Thanks for mentioning that! It's now up to $170. I'm getting more people who are interested in donating prizes than participating.

I think we'll get some more interest when the actual contest rules go up.

I just moved two weeks ago. Unfortunately, for her, the GF has found my stash of goodies i have been acquiring. In the back of my truck, in the corner of the closet and so on. If i happen to say "hey can you pick me up a kool looking deodorant at the grocery store" i am not sure what will happen. If you hear of a man's death in the States by deodorant bottle u will know what happened. But i am going to see what i can come up with. :-)

It sounds fun, I'm sure I'll want to get involved in this.
