Platic Viridian interdict marines (for Fallout Enclave)
« on: March 18, 2011, 01:06:16 PM »
Got a pack of these last weekend and thought I would use them as Enclave soldiers for my Fallout project. I took some pictures of the sprue, assembled models and models with paint on. You can check them out on my blog.

I just picked up a load of those myself . Quite nicely done , and amazing value (50p each in the UK).
Not too keen on the helmet . I reminds me of "Bill & Ben the Flowerpot men" , but Pig Iron heads , like bacon and cheese , improve everything . ;)

Good idea. Do you intend to use some plasticard to add those helmet fins/horns/antennae? I'm quite happy with my Nexus SWAT Enclave PAs, but your approach looks very, very promising, too.

@Elwood P Dowd  do you have any pictures of them? Would be nice to see  :)

@Westfalia Chris  Have not thought about the antennas or whatever they are. Think the antennas started with Fallout Tactics. The Fallout 2 Enclave armor helmet did not really look the way they are looking in recent games (I think the old was a bit more menacing). I have not assembled more than one model with a helmet so far so that particular detail is still open for change.

Checked Pig Iron;

Think these with added "wing antennas" would work well

I quite like the New Vegas style ones.

They don't have the GW type flared leg armour though.

I don't have any Hasslefree figs but there is a comparison piccie on the blog with some Combat Zone models. Also, most (if not all) of the VOID range was designed by Kev White (not these plastics though I believe) and these match those sculpts in size. The VOID range was a very nice 28mm scale o I think they go with Hasslefree quite well.

Nice paintjob on the models BTW, I quite like these models myself as well 8)

Thanks for the information, these figures seem useful.

I was wondering if they glue together with standard plastic cement- some plastics Ive encountered (Mongoose's Mega City gangers for example) don't seem to accept it and need superglue...

Should not be any problem to glue them together, though I use "Loctite" superglue myself for everything.

Very nice indeed. I have put some of these together myself, and they are nice figures.

Does anyone know of a US distributor? I know Scotia Grendel has them in the UK, but was just wondering. Would not mind saving some bills on shipping.

BTW, FRP is out of them and has deleted them from their webstore.  I did find some here though: http://www.rcboyz.com/product.php?productid=18526
