New Hasslefree Rogue Trader/Pirate Guy
« on: March 18, 2011, 09:20:55 PM »
I was browsing the Forum of Doom when I came across this soon-to-be-released Hasslefree figure:_

I like this figure a lot,  :)

Still, a chap ought to look smart in front of the men, don't you think?

Nice, but... unfeasibly large weapons put me off them  :(

Shame, as I'm normally a huge HF fan.

I like the privateer will be used for rogue trader..

Also I think from what I remember reading these were commissioned for something else that was cancelled and Kev asked if he could release them himself so he did. They are 32mm so a lot chunkier than kev's normal sculpting style but then I like chunkiness in lead  lol

The folds in the cloth are absoloutely beautiful. There is a lot of weight in the first one's jacket.

Nice stuff, especially Godwin, I think the combination of armour and clothing on John is a bit awkward.
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Yes, that was my first impression, too.  There's too much going on there, with pistols, armor, and a huge elaborate coat.  I tend to favor models that are simpler in design.  I like Godwin a lot though.

That first one is just one peaked cap away from being a bad-ass commissar.
