Buck McDonald, Apocalypse Survivor
« on: March 19, 2011, 01:53:05 AM »
Hi to all,

Here's a little conversion I made for my long-overdue Post-apoc billboard/stylite thingie. He's supposed to be the main occupant of the aforementioned structure. Sorry in advance for the crappy picture...

Just a little greenstuff job on a Foundry Viking. The bottle is from the Academy 1/35 M113 Vietnam kit (it's a beer bottle at that scale). Not the greatest, I know, but considering my level of skill, it's pretty good. A lick of paint should bring it to life.

Hope you like it,

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

I like him.  Looks like he's been holding out for a while.

Dude, I converted it, I'm a HUGE fan of The Thing and I NEVER noticed it looked like Kurt Russell... Thanks for pointing it out!

Definitely!  :D

Sir Dryden... intended to be Kurt Russell or not... it's the result that matters.  ;)

Well done! 8)

The first thing I thought of was Kurt Russel, a fine conversion. Can't wait to see it painted!

VERY COOL mini! The Kurt Russel thingy is unanimous. Using a Dark Age mini for a Post Apocalypse setting is a very imaginative idea that I, for one, intend to explore further. GREAT WORK!

I too think the use of the german is great. I have a bunch of them, viking, saxon, even thracians that just may work. I guess the Mountain men from Foundry would be a good base as well.
