Cory_d- I think your extra glossy varnish takes away from your paint job. I would love to have seen your models before the varnishing stage!

I like the spaceships and they have that old computer game vibe to them, but I think the paintjob on Olga's Mercenaries looks very good under all that gloss.

The middle ship is a Piranha, it is a prize ship and was only available by participating and in some cases winning games at conventions that were run by or sanctioned by ICE.  I was in the Ottawa at the right time so I participated lots, but never one the bigger prize ships.  That is my last one, I also have the Dolphin and Battle Axe in my collection.  The other's are Tealhawks they came in the Deluxe Edition and mine are plastic, you can get metal ones.

They painted up pretty easy, I made sure they were bright yellow, cause I never paint that color much.  So haven't painted much since then, going to have to bust my ass to have a new week three entry...  ;-)

sorry guys I know its frightfully old fashioned but I do like the gloss finish look, I don't use it for everything but I think only 1 out of the 10 pics I'll submit will be matt.  I admit the don't look as good in photos but on the table the reflected light gives them some nice high lights.

my biggest hassle is the PC I did the editing seems to have a low temp display, looking at my my pic at work online and the colours are not what I'm after, I'm going to have to resubmit my next pic, some of the greens went almost fluorescent !
