Thanks everyone.  All the figures are by Reaper.

Hey Axe, how did you make the tree in the background?  I love the natural setting that you were able to create.  I can never get any of my landscapes to look natural.

Thanks for that,

The trees are a technique I described here.

The rest is a liberal spreading of clumping foliage from woodland scenics and an untidy chucking of the baseing material i used for the figures, (old tea, redbush and regular mixed with some green model train scenic medium). It is all about the random with nature!

This is a very tough matchup! The background of the first entry is very nice, I even like the black plastic 8) The beastmen are also very well painted and do look very natural, well done! The spiders are also very nice and the extra hair really adds to them, nice touch!

See, it's the untidy chucking I can't seem to manage.  I look at what I've done and think "This spot is too empty" and "needs more over here" until I lose the natural feel.  I'll have to resist next time and see how that works.

Plus, I'm totally making some hot glue trees!

Reaper Miniatures: 'Jolie the Female Scribe'(link) - one of my fave minis ever.

EDIT: and now I see that your question has already been answered... ah well, I'll leave the link.

Yes, and the universe seems to conspire again and again that I should finally buy the model.

I think I'm going to order another one when I get my next order from Reaper. Almost any mini of a relatively-sensibly-dressed young woman is OK in my book (too many in chainmail bikinis or virtually nothing).

Very true.  Of course, Jolie has a slit in her dress revealing her leg up to her... ummm...  upper thigh.  I do love the mini though.

I'm finding that for my round 10 entry I'm having to convert some minis to add clothing (probably throwing away votes though...  lol), since I'm really not comfortable modelling the types of movies that you'd expect to find some of these outfits in...
