Ah! You fiend! I have a couple of those robots myself to be entered later (although, mine have steam chimneys on their heads :P)

Lovely stuff, both of you - but the Pulpy robots sell it

Both button... Both button... there has got to be a Both button...

 :o

Seriously, I think I'm going to have to flip a coin to actually choose between these two. I've always liked the Warmachine steam-mech things, but the Rattrap pulp bots are, well, pulpy... and both photos are awesome.

Right, heads or tails...

The professor in the top picture really looks like prof. Calculus from Tin Tin... where's it from?

Great work on the Warmachine warband and their terrain, but it's hard to beat the astounding entry Darth J@ymz put together! I love absolutely everything about this entry, from the mad scientist checking his tubes, to the brain in a jar in the back to the way the bases are all lined up with the floor, great work!

The detail of the lab does enhance the robots looks.  I do like the brain in the bottle - former rival of the doctor perhaps?

Lovely entries, i'm jealous of the brain in the background in the jar but only because its bigger than mine :D

Hey D@rth J@ymez,
How much of the background is scratch, how much available from companies, and from whom?

Fantastic entry! Nearly the best of the season!
Quality has a quantity of its own

Thanks for all the comments everybody! *tips hat*

The minis are:

Chronoscope, 50046: Dr. Ervin Friedman, Mad Scientist

Chronoscope, 50063: Jeeves, Clockwork Robot
http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/50063

Rattrap, RT-PHM45A012-2: Robot Type II
http://rattrapproductions.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=29

For the background lab setting:

Brain Jar is a scratch built model.
The half wall is an old Armourcast piece, I believe.
The floors and basing inserts are plasticard.
The sci-fi "crates" are old missle launchers (I think) from something I can't recall (rescued from the dungeons beneath Lead Mountain)
The bypass wheel on the right was scratchbuilt from platicard tubing and such.
The large base/generator under Brain Jar is a re-painted iron man arc reactor toy  :D
