The 2 new Ranger packs are up on the website + a new Soldiers Free Ranger + we've added combinations of packs for Ranger units.  :)

Hope you like them.

Is "Robery" a nickname that he earned for some unscrupulous dealings?

:D That'll teach me to check the spellings on my posts more fully.

Having had my hands on this chap from the new command pack for a couple of weeks I finally got around to painting him! My usual method for shading figures is using washes, but these don't come out too well in photos (at least the ones I take anyway...) so I've adapted my style to suit.
Hope you notice the Scrimshaw work on his powder horn!

Cheers

Hi Aaron,

Not really, mainly 'cos if I open my mouth about a likely date, I'm pretty well bound to put my foot in it  ::)

However, I'll start putting up some bits to look at before long  ;)

Nice one Derek, especially the scrimshaw work - I love those kinds of details.

I've added pictures of the Robert Rogers figure I've recently painted onto the website, more on the Studio page, I'll do a brief painting guide for the pack soon.

Absolutely beautiful brushwork sir!  Thanks for the inspiring photo.

If you have any hints in the painting guide for painting african flesh tones for Duke, that would be appreciated as well.  I continue to struggle with flesh, I've recently tried to paint a adopted Mohawk (Caucasian) in the same manner that I paint my faces, and he just looks kinda yellow-y?
