@Dominic: What skin tones did you use? It looks very 'real' Indian!
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Hi, the skin tone is very simple!  No mixing required!

- base coat of GW Dark Flesh
- highlight of GW Tanned Flesh
- GW Scorched Brown for the deep shadows.

Great! I'll probably try it out very soon. Thanks!  :)

Edit: Btw - what colours do you use for the wood (rifles)?

Okies! I've always wondered how to highlight wood - must be the fact that I've always been a lazy painter only wanting to use the colours straight out of the pot

Only the last year or so I've been mixing. Seems like the way forward. Must get me some more mixing pots  8)

Love the perfect skin tone on the Sikhs.  The overall result of these figures is fantastic.  Hope to see some more of the figure on the forum soon

Dom,

I presume you've used the 0.5 drawing pen for the eyes?  It looks very good indeed. Painting eyes is very tough & many an otherwise wonderful figure is let down by them.

Yours are spot-on [pun intended   ]

Your Indian skin tone is lovely, but I've noticed a lot of Northern Indians, including Sikhs, Afghans etc have very light skin, compared to people from Delhi, Madras etc. A differnt shade from European skin, but not much darker. Still miles better than anything I've achieved so far & I have all the paints on your list, so I'll have a go at your method soon!

Cheers,
Ian
