Trees like these....
« on: March 30, 2011, 05:02:45 AM »
Anyone know where I can get trees like the ones seen here on the Red Dragon terrain site: http://www.red-dragon-terrain.com/trees-and-hills.html? I've emailed him several times about getting just trees but he never replied.

Any help is appreciated.

I can't say for sure who makes the trees but Silflor makes natural looking leaf foliage like that.  I have Scenic Express catalog here and they have some stuff called Leaf Horsetail Foliage and also Broadleaf Maple Foliage and comes in different colors.  Take a look at some railroad modeling suppliers or a local shop.  You can find some pretty nice looking stuff though they can get pretty pricey.

Todd,

They are made using seafoam. I've seen it refered to by a variety of names include seamoss and seamoo to name two. It's available from places like Antenociti's and model railroad shops and is also available in tree building kits.

Here's a link about using sea foam to make trees:

Hope this helps,
