both are very nice, but

What no blu/gold flag for Nemo?
(I see it more or less black)
Where is the blue/gold flag from?
The only picture reference I could find, show black and gold?
But it is VSF  :D

Thanks argsilverson.
Being a heathen I have never read the book. :D
I searched online for flags of captain Nemo and came up with the Black and gold.

Apologies, I admit that I might be wrong. I have not read recently 20.000 leagues (recently means some 30 years or more) and my memory is not correct, anymore.  Age is showing. All that time I was thinking of Nemo's flag as deep blue/Navy blue.  Having not the time to reread the Verne's stories just to find the colour of the flag, I checked the http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/fic_20ku.html site which clearly states that book describes the flag as black.
Next time I shall not rush to comment on blue/black.  Sorry for any incovinience ...

But it is VSF  and an excellent work.

They are both very lovely.

As I was today painting a Captain Nemo, who is as we know an Indian gentleman, I was wondering MrJ what you were using for the skintones? Your Sikhs look marvellous, and my Nemo looks like he's made of wood!

Pretty much all the paints I use a gw as they're easily available for me. The skin is dark flesh highlighted with bestial brown, washed with devlan mud and then rehighlighted with bestial. I think its possible that on a couple I may have added some snakebite leather to the final highlight. Thanks for the positive comments, they were really enjoyable skulpts to paint, came together easily and suprisingly quickly.
