Empress NZW / Maori War range meets paint
« on: April 14, 2011, 07:18:13 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have just finished painting the first figures of the upcoming NZW range from Empress. They were really a joy to paint (which is not a matter of course in my case as I usually get tangled up in the belt jungle of early 19th century uniforms lol). The British regulars are colour samples for the four regiments that were involved in the First NZW. So here's my impressionistic collision of metal and paint:

Really great work 8)

Are these Victrix plastic bases?

Yes, the bases are Victrix. They combine the advantages of both rectangular and round bases. You can arrange them in chocolate bar formations and they don't look strange in loose formation.
