Empress Zulus
« on: April 16, 2011, 07:54:59 PM »
   Hi
This maybe old news to some but the 3ups on the Empress stand at Salute today were of plastic Zulus and Brits being produced in conjunction with Warlord, due out hopefully   Sept/Oct this year.
Married and Un Married Regiments and a British firing line.
3 ups of Zulus on each stand looked smashing.

This could be what I need to kick-start my T&T Colonial Zulu war.

Do know of any pictures?

Oh, what's the point... What's the point of trying to stay on one project and not get distracted? Just take my wallet and give it back to me when you're done with it.

British firing line

Put me down for some, especially if they come with optional heads.  Heads with glengarrys would be soooo useful.

But only if you're prepared to lop the heads off existing figures.

The three up for the Zulus on the Empress and on the Warlord stands looked really encouraging I thought, and I don't even like plastic figures as a rule. I gather from a chat with one of the Empress people that there will also be future metal releases in both the Zulus and the Imperial forces. I really like this range of figures for the Anglo-Zulu War.

On a different but related tack, I got the new Gattling gun set and the Chelsford et al set, both very good I thought and recommended. I also got the 'new' foot Boer packs and though I would have liked some new poses or different kit on the figures they will be joining van Whytt's Commando in due course later this year. Does anyone have a spare of the top hat wearing Boer thay don't want?
