Faber's Mordheim Minis [PICs]
« on: April 19, 2011, 02:16:25 PM »
[dunno if this is the right forum section to post it: just tell me if I'm doing a mistake]
I'm building a Mordheim Gameboard (if you are interested... http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=28462.0) and I need minis to play! I'm planning two warbands: Possessed and Undead. At this moment I've done only two heroes for the Possessed. To get a good final view of the band, I'm using some colour theme for them. Dark red for dress, purple for skin etc.
here's the first
1 - Malagash, mutant

2 - Unknown, magister

togheter

c&c always welcome!

VERY COOL! I LOVE the colors you chose for The Mutant Guy; he reminds me of one of the characters from Sin City....that seems appropriate somehow. The Magister's book is INCREDIBLE. VERY WELL DONE!

If you need additional inspiration, check out Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum:

Thanks DeafNala!  ;)
The magister book took me a whole afternoon...but it's not so hard to do :) Mainly a matter of repaint your mistakes. I'm sorry for the pics, they are really better in RL.. The book has a lot of little details almost impossible to see in the pic...for example, on the first letter of the text (intended to be a miniature "A") there are little gold dots to reproduce the medieval golden decoration on books...invisible in the pic  :(

About Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum, wonderful and specific resource! I already known it, I've been lurkin there :P Now maybe it's time to introduce myself and show something to pay the bill  lol

Very well painted, I like those flagstone bases, the purple on the demon is great (his blue tongue is pretty cool too). For the Mage, I really like the red (how did you do that?) , the OSL is really cool BUT the book is just awesome! Keep posting you Mordheim mini, 'cause you know we all want to see them now.

@Damien: many thanks fellow! :) The red cape: used gw colours, black primer, dark flesh base, mix of blood red and dark flesh 1:2 for highlighting, then highlight with same colours mix 1:1, finally highlight with blood red only. Then, to unite the whole highlighting, was of thinned devlan mud and wash of thinned badab black. I did this last step with wash until I was satisfied of the effect :)
Now I started a beastmen and a zombie wolf for the undead warband...  ;)

@commissarmoody:it will takes a long time to see the Possessed finished :(
