Cloud Kraken Progress
« on: April 20, 2011, 05:47:22 AM »
Finally pulled it out of the cloud and began the process of smoothing the Mega Blocks Kraken of block mounting points and such, as well as heat treating the tentacles to straighten them out. I decided to use to of the Tentacle mounting points as Eyes on stalks. Have to build a "lid" around them, spookier that way :)

To blend it into its habitat, I'm thinking light greys with a bit of blue, possibly a few darker blue spots?

As a hunter/predator that would work

Fliers would tend to be two-toned, depending on how the dirt underneath looks.

Now, if this were the liftwood forest squid, it'd be in shades of red and pink.  :D

Edit: Wait, cloud kraken... Yeah, I guess pale overall would make sense for an ambush pred.
