Darkest Africa
« on: April 22, 2011, 06:33:10 PM »
One of my painting projects for this year.

Painted a few figures in recent months, finally found time to do the photos which I'll post as I sort them.

First off, Quatermain.

Who makes the figure?

Ironclad Miniatures.

Now, from Foundry, a Native with a gun.

Joining Quartermain and his armed bearer on Safari a couple of Big game hunters from "Bend Sinister."

(Slightly modified from the original that has a double-barrelled shotgun.)

Lovely clean and crisp style of painting. The skin colour on the native with the gun is very nice.

Really like your take on the Bend Sinister fellows  :-*, nice muted colors and the wood grains are great throughout

Great paintwork!

What colours did you use on your African native? I'm about to start doing some colour testing..

Lovely work, OT! The chap in the grey shirt is my favourite.

This is the first I've heard of "Bend Sinister" and they are definitely worth looking at. I've got enough explorers to form a regiment, but a few more won't hurt  lol

I hope you turn this into a long-term thread!

Great work!

Love the Bend Sinister figures - the helmet on the little guy is great.

Are you using that blue/grey colour as a linking theme?
