Thanks Helen (and Karl) I'm much better now. I have new drugs to keep me under control and I've just got some new glasses so I can paint again  :)

I'm trying to finish my Gurkhas before Mike's Australians arrive!

Glad to hear it Paul, and dont mention glasses I got some new ones (I look quite snazy in them if I do say so myself) and they got the prescription wrong in one eye - 3 blinding headaches later I had to take them back now have to wait another week :x

Hope to see you at Warfare?

Say, Matakashi, my experience with cork, meaning corks for bottles, is that water based acrylic paint doesn't stick to cork. What are you using?

oh shit have you tried getting the money back through Health and safety dept and use of Display Screen equipment? they should if you are defined as a user under the regs at least re-coup the price of the eye test.

That is my avenue but saying that I wrote the policy for our company, it is the only perk I can thank of that a safety officer could possibly get, safety shoes and a hard hat doesnt look sexy when you are down the pub...unless its the Blue Oyster that is :freak:

I use acrylics. Wine corks are treated, the tiles I use are not, you can use any paint you like  :)

Karl, I am diabetic so the eye test is free anyway. I had to buy 2 pairs of glasses this time, one to see with and one just for painting which I haven't needed before. The painting glasses have such a short focal distance that I can't actually see the paint pot on my desk

those are really great, not to mention the tutorial which is even better  :)

those houses can be used for a lot of things, even for urban scenarios outside africa, they remind me some cheap holliday houses near the beach area (go crazy on some pulp/baywatch crossover -> mitch fights the great cthullu in malibu), or some ghetto houses (at least from the southern part of Europe), if you want to expand the reach of your drug wars project! :)

Cheers

Good Lord. I shudder to think what will cause more sanity tests, the Elder God or the Hoff´s perm...

Absolutely top notch work, Matakishi. I absolutely cannot work with cork, or it´s just the crappy, bendy stuff which is pretty much the only variety you get here.

I love Paul's reports. He's very casually posting a battle report, full of wonderful pictures and buildings, and then you go to his website and you can see everything up close. Well done!

(And welcome back, and glad you're feeling better.)

Hi, folks! I'm just popping my head in to let you know that if you have any questions about Ambush Alley, don't hesitate to drop me a line at dscarpenter@gmail.com!

Well, that and to check out all the cool stuff here. I'll have to wait till my wife's not around to look at all the pulpy goodness or she'll start threatening to cut off my food supply if I don't start running .45 Action for her again!
