Painted Indian Horsemen
« on: May 05, 2011, 05:12:44 AM »
Here is a small group of mounted "Indostani" tribesmen for our Indostan campaign.

They were done in my usual "Army Painter and house paints" style.

Looking Nice! Are they Foundry Figures?

BRILLIANT! Looking good; I've just gotten some Army Painter Medium Brown tone to try on my Mutiny Indians - works a treat.

Mycenius - They are Foundry, Sikh Mounted Tribesmen I believe.

The Army Painter is the Strong Tone dip.

Those look great.  Did you really do them with the kind of paint used on houses?

Furt, that's just incredible.  I tried that about 6 years ago.  The smallest can of paint I could buy was a quart, though, and I couldn't figure out a way to get the paint out and use it conveniently.  I was prying open the can and making a mess trying to get a small amount onto the pallette.  Also, the paint was very thick and seemed hard to work with.

How did you solve those problems?  I'm with you on hobby paints being a tad too expensive, especially given my talent level, just don't need to spend that kind of money.  So I use craft acrylics.  But I'd gladly go to house paints if I could overcome those problems I recall.  Any advice you have would be great.

Thanks again for posting!
