:o :o Heldrak the skin tone on SubMariner (?) is just perfect well done!  I'm less sure about the flame boys....an all red figure is hard to nail.

The idol in the first image takes me back to my earliest days of gaming....thanks for that!

Cheers,

Blue

Both nice entries, but superhero subject matter finds favour with me, so Invaders, but only just. Great work guys. :)

Sometimes I have to vote against a genre I like, in favor of really well-painted minis from a genre I'm not interested in.  But those super heroes...  :o

I really like the Conan stuff. Can anybody tell me where do the guard(s) and the snake come from?

Conan, Thulsa Doom and the sacrifice are from Bronze Age Miniatures. The snake is a Rafm one I think but it might be Ral Partha. The guards and assorted hangers on (more of them have been painted now, with snazzy snake shields, pics once this is over) are Moors from Gripping Beast.
The idol is from Otherworld Miniatures, the pillars were made and cast in resin by an old acquaintance (D&D Peter) and the blocks and steps are made from balsa wood by me :)

Because of the spur of the moment purchase of the Bronze Age miniatures a while ago and the need to get something painted for this LPL I've been pulled into a Conan project almost against my will. I'm currently writing some skirmish rules and hope to build some custom settings/boards in the near future so great has the infatuation become.

Thanks lead Painters League :)

Skirmish, that's it! Actually I was quite amazed to see individually based miniatures from you!
The moors look good with that fantasy setting, it's a good idea.

Awesome work both, but the Crom diorama gets my vote! I wasn't too keen on the panted wooden blocks but as a dungeon I can see it being useful and cost-effective. The rest of the entry is great though!

Let me see the banners fly

Well, it was either dungeon blocks or a printed background, I didn't want to use old scenic resin pieces in case they counted as being seen before. I went for the 3D option :)
I was going to use these:

Thanks, Brian. I'm glad you saw these, that justifies my secret ulterior motive that certain individuals who shall remain nameless should produce a metal Sub-mariner and Golden Age Human Torch to go accompany their metal Cap & Bucky... ;)

Yes, motivate that individual, as I know this nameless individual that produces these, also, and he needs to get crackin'....!!!!!
