Bulletproof Monk's best line:

"its a recipe for noodle soup..."

Maybe you have to see it drunk to appreciate it.  ;)

I got quite the haul recently (HMV sale!)

Hammer movies:

Dracula AD1972
Taste the Blood of Dracula
Dracula has Risen from the Grave
Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed!
Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires

Monster Movies:

The Land that Time Forgot
Them!
Valley of Gwangi

Pulpy Thrillers:

Ice Station Zebra
The Yakuza

Now to find time to watch them all!  ;D

And (after much delay), the original three Indiana Jones movies (I deliberately ignored the latest one, which, like the third Mummy movie and the Star Wars xmas special just 'never happened').

Capitaes de Abril (2000) -- Portuguese movie about overthrow of the dictatorship 1975.  Thought this one was really good.

Dresden -- German movie set in that city early 1945.  Thought the romance between the German nurse and the wounded British bomber pilot was implausible, at least the way the script developed it, but the rest of the movie was pretty impressive.

Just watched 'Serenity' - absolutely fantastic sci fi movie. Well worth a watch, I've now tracked down the original series (Firefly) - very much looking forwards to seeing them.

Is Bayazet available with English sub-titles? I have always had a bit of a thing for the 1877 Russo-Turkish War since reading the Osprey book, always imagined the illustrations as Copplestone figures, still looking for suitable 28mm miniatures....

'The Beast' is that also known as 'The Beast of War'? About a Russian tank crew in the afghan war that lose their way and sort of fight a running battle with afghan rebels? If it is  I saw that film so long ago now that I can't remember when and loved every minute of it. I might have to track it down.

Fantastic, it looks like a new cover to what I've seen before. I'll have a look on amazon. Thanks for the heads up.

EDIT: just finished watching all the firefly/serenity stuff for the first time. WOW! amazing stuff, now I really don't know why Fox cancelled it, that is a series I would've watched and watched and watched. Dumb corporate idiots. The imagination in it is fantastic, with great story lines and humour. I never got Buffy or Angel, they just seemed too cheesy for me, but Firefly is something else.
