Luddite, the idea of this thread is telling other folks what you just bought, rather than merely good films you can think of.  It's a little LAF tradition we have. :)

Sherlock Holmes (the new one)
Double Bill - The Magnificent 7/The Alamo ($5)
Day of the Dead Remake (I'm not expecting too much from this one, but for $5....)

Watched Sherlock and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ah right...

OK.

Last few i bought.

2012
Missed it at the cinema and bought it without renting prior.  Throwaway popcorn movie.  Special effects not bad.  Fairly pedestrian script...

Watchmen
Almost word for word, scene for scene from the graphic novel (except the divergent ending).  Ruddy marvellous, but then i'm a fan.   :D

Survival of the Dead
Latest offering from Romero.  He's been on form with the last few films but this one fell flat for me.  the whole 'Irish feuding families' thing just left me a bit cold...

Clash of the Titans
A classic missing from the DVD shelf...prompted by the new film soon to be released.  I'm looking forward to the remake although the missus has disavowed as the work of Beelzebub...

Bill Hicks - Totally
All the good ones die young and they didn't come much better than Bill Hicks...'stop your internal monologue...you're wrong...get over it...ok...'   :D

Not gaming realted at all, but the wife and I watch Food, Inc last night. No surprises inside for anyone who has read any of Michael Pollan's books, but still quite an eye-opener. Not recomended for those about to eat.

Picked up the original minseries of Edge of Darkness from HMV the other day. Only £6! Trying to convince the Mrs to watch it with me, but think I'm on a hiding to nothing there.

Now, who'd win in a fight between Bob Peck and Mel Gibson...?

Just saw"Young Victoria" and the new Sherlock Holmes movie, two very different versions of Victorian England.  Great sets and costumes.

I got a movie on close out called "1612" Lots of Polish winged hussars, Russians and pretty grusome battle scenes.
