As long as we win the battle I am willing to watch it.

Unfortunately they had to portray one of few losses for our team.  :-[

Yes, it´s the mini series from 1986. There ain´t no proper DVD-edition yet, but you can watch it on YouTube.  :?

OK, I just watched the revampted 1925 silent movie "the Lost World" with more than 30 minutes restored to the movie.  It was a real trip to watch a 1920's sci fi/pulp movie and its "special effects."  Yes, its not 21st century quality but it was campy fun and has that pulp feel so many of us strive for in our games.  It was well worth 90 minutes to see a truely lost world of the 1920's.  Enjoy!

Isn't he the director of the Dead or Alive trilogy? If so, I hated those movies. :(

No, I checked, it is indeed Takashi Miike. On the other hand, I saw he also did Zebraman, which I liked.

Yeah,

it's a very entertaining version of "Yojimbo", "Fistfull of Dollars", "Last Man Standing" etc.
I enjoyed it very much. :D

If you want to buy it then try to hunt down the Japanese Version.
It's about 20 minutes longer than the versions for the other markets.
I bought my copy on ebay, and it includes also english as spoken language.

If you like western, Tarantino and asian movies then that is the right movie for you.

I don't like dubbed versions. Does it also include english subtitles for the original version?

No, it doesn't include english subtitles, because the original version IS in english.
They have synchronised it afterwards to japanese.

It's nice to hear the cast speak english.

So, if you want to see it the japanese way, you have to watch it in english with japanese subtitles ;)
