I could not make the subtitles work, which makes watching it a bit of a challenge. Seems it is not even worth the trouble.

They didn´t say much of interest...10 actors a few rifles and a machine gun plus lots of desert. The only value was that I learned that there were Czech troops in North Africa, which was news to me. I consider using this DVD in the "Build something contest"  :D

Supposedly the best jungle serial ever produced.  It'll be interesting to compare it with Kay Aldridge's Nyoka and the Tigermen, which I unfortunately only have on VHS.  Miss Gifford's playing essentially the same character but the hero in that one was Clayton Moore, about seven years before he became world famous as TV's The Lone Ranger

For the love of all that is holy do not watch Army of the dead  :o I got it because a it was cheap and b the tag line is "never trust a skeleton with a shotgun!"
 I want my time, sanity and money back ;D, if anyone wants it send me your address and you can have it !!!(Just don't blame me)  I like most b movies but it was too much for even me it has no redeeming features at all even the skeletons suck big time.

Very entertaining and quite gory for a change.  The Chinese seem to excel at this type of movie and, of course, the cinematography is excellent.

It's set during the Taiping Rebellion in China which overlapped the period of the American Civil War on both sides by several years.  Deaths incurred during the ACW were between 600-700,000.  Over 20 million people died during the Rebellion.  When you consider this was a blackpowder period, combined with medieval swords, spears and bows and arrows, the toll is mind-boggling.

I was on a kind of DVD buying spree lately. I bought;

The Supernatural Series Seasons 1 to 4 (at a fair price on eBay but they can be find on Amazon.ca for the same price)

The Book of Eli
The Road
Zombieland

and The Eagle has Landed… oddly enough, the French version title of this one is l’Aigle s’est Envolé lol
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Does that mean that it has flown? My French is somewhat outdated....

If you translate the French title back in English it become "The Eagle has Take Off"…
