In a most peculiar twist of fate, my son was singing this song to himself the other day. He is four. I have no idea where he heard it, but he had an excellent grasp of the lyrics.

Was he singing it in German, then?

That is impressive.

I have always been curious about Der Golem. Tell me what you thought.

I just got this:

I always thought Paul Veerhofen was quite tacky (Showgirls) but this one was pretty good. Still, it would be Veerhofen it there wasn't a fair bit of violence and nekkid skin but an alright story about the dutch resistance.

These films can be found in full here on Google video. They're public domain, so they are open to public viewing.

Not quite received (cheap so and so!) but seen on Google movies:
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
Weird use of artsy scenery, and an interesting plot. Good source for the sanatorium scenario fans.

Went Christmas shopping today instead of working. Spotted this on the shelf so treated myself to it (I deserve it! Shopping is very tiring and stressful to me!  I'm not someone like Paris Hilton or Serena Williams, so I do not have a natural enthusiasm and talent for shopping hard-wired into me, I find it tough going):

Also have to report: Let the side down. Bought Sickers some 40K stuff for his Christmas gift. Sorry, lads...

I thought 9th Co was one of the best movies this year, but the subtitling made my head hurt

Got this one for Christmas. My favourite Who episode of all time, a fantastic VSF adventure. I am furiously painting all of the characters so I can play a scenario!

Pan's Labyrinth. Great inspiration for SCW and Spanish Weird War II.

POTC 3: At world's end. Need I say more?

Alatriste. Bit slow/dull/lackluster at times but not a bad inspiration. Bonus points for the Dutch/Flemish speaking Dutch.
