10mm rule sets...?
« on: May 19, 2011, 12:46:15 PM »
Hi all.

I've just posted a few bits of my rapidly growing 10mm fantasy armies on my blog

http://colonelotruth.blogspot.com

I've been basing them for HOTT but I'm wondering if there are better systems for really BIG battles? Any suggestions?

All the best.

I suggest Ancient D6 Fantasy (Link) and/or Mighty Armies (Link)

I wish I got to play more, but Warmaster is an awesome set (IMHO).

Warmaster without any doubt.

Rules can be downloaded for free on the GW web site (Specialist Games section).

Thanks, guys. I've downloaded Warmaster and it looks pretty good.

Anyone got any ideas on points values? True to form, GW provide points for their miniatures, but no clue as to how to design your own units. Glaringly obvious is the lack of Orc archers in the GW lists...

But... why design your own units. Clearly there exist no miniatures for those things you would dream up - or GW would have made stats for them.

It's quite simple, really. If there are miniatures, there are stats - and no stats means no miniatures and no need for stats. Pfff... designing your own stuff? Pah!

For stats and army lists you must also download Warmaster Armies.  :D
