Fear & Faith is a stand alone rule set so you don't need SoBH to play. It's based on the SoBH rules but with quite a few changes. I bought it ages ago but sadly haven't got around to trying them out yet. They do look pretty good though & seem very popular.

A good review of them here
...and what fresh new hell is this?

Mister Banjo, I tip my hat to you. Thank you sir! I asked because I've accumulated a shocking amount of horror type miniatures since I joined this forum (it's like crack I tell ya!!), and the wife is gonna put the foot down unless I get a rules system to use them with! ::)

You're not alone on that score. I've spent a fortune on impulse buys since I signed up here   ::)
It's got to the point where I have to intercept packages at the front door & throw them under the sofa for safe retrieval later when my wife isn't around  :D

Ha! it's not gotten that bad yet, but i can see it coming to pass at some stage, yorkshire women are fiery creatures, and she's pretty close to the end of her rope, we spent 3 weeks clearing out 85% of my collection, and I'm using the proceeds to buy more :D

You want bad? I have stuff shipped to my shop.

Better my co-owners think I'm bad for not spending every dime in the store, rather than have 'she who must be obeyed' aware of every purchase I make!

Okay, MOSTLY kidding; I'm a hoarder, and she's just this side of being an enabler. ;->=

Don't need to rub her face in it, of course.

By the by, not only is it not a stupid question, but one I didn't know yet I needed answered...

ah sound! bought the pdf last night, read it this morning. Pure gold. It's gotta be the best 9 dollars i've spent in a long time, picked up the rules in minutes, squealed like a little girly man when i read the sample profiles, and then immediately started devising scenarios. I really can't recommend this game enough :D

You might also want to check out Kooky Teenage Monster Hunters.  It's a rules expansion for Fear & Faith.  Lots of new abilities.  There is also a downloadable builder for characters on the Ganesha website.

You beat me to it, I was just going to mention Kooky Teenage Monster Hunters. Well worth buying too.

Good to hear you finally got hold of a set of rules you like. At least it should stop your wife nagging at you for a while  lol
