Cardboard Terrain

Whilst having a look at the last Woldworks offer
http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=218
I was asking myself if many peoples here use cardboard terrain?
Maybe not as one-oof pieces, but maybe when you have to fill the table with buildings?

I occasionally use cardboard terrain pieces, especially for the smaller scales, like 1:72nd, where the houses are more of a "backdrop set" (like in old Hollywood Movies, with their "painted" sceneries); for larger scales, I prefer using full 3D-models since it just looks prettier.

One of the main reasons, I think, to use cardboard terrain is not so much for outside features (houses, bridges,...) for which there is a lot of "normal" stuff; but maybe more for interiors, which are much easier in paper. For adventure skirmish wargames, I think it helps a lot.

I love it! Not so realistic as resin/wood etc, but a viable alternative, especially if you have little spare cash & even less modelling skills.

Card buildings make it quick, easy & cheap to fill a table with decent-looking terrain.

WorldWorks Games & Whitewash City have loads of cool stuff & I'm getting addicted to card modelling now. I'd never be ble to have so  much terrain without them.

Cheers,
Ian.
