Victory Decision rulebook now as printware!
« on: June 11, 2011, 02:26:52 PM »
OK, OK, I have listened.  ;) 8)
Many request for a printware copy came up, so I looked very serious in all the options available.
In the end Print on Demand via LuLu is the best solution!

Victory Decision is now not only available as an ebook, for the first time we are offering a full colour printware version!
The book is a high quality, full colour softcover perfect-bound Paperback for €22.49.
I was really amazed about the quality after receiving my sample copy! Print on Demand has come a long way.  8)
You can order it here:

oh now, you've done it :D me hope that you will have 'bigger' success on your rule that you will decide all rulebooks on hardcover one :D
BTW do you add something different on the printed version? or maybe it's still the same with pdf one ???

The book is 98% identical with the current ebook - You are getting page 1-98 of the ebook.
The only thing different is the missing front and back inside cover page.

Hardcover is immediately 2x the price...  :-[

Thanks Frank!
LuLu is shipping from the US and Europe depending where you stay, for me it took 14 days to print and ship.

I looked into combined offers very seriously.  8)
To offer combined products I had to publish them thru one company.
Initially I wanted to use the Print option of Wargame Vault. The problem was the very high layout demands of Wargame Vault (and their PoD partner Lightning Source). It boiled down to getting Adobe InStep just to do the layout of the book that was perfectly finished because of print margins, bleed zones etc.

Unfortunately an investment like that was and is beyond my scope. The freeware alternatives did not produce the quality I was looking for, therefore the decision to use LuLu.

To make it short, right now no combined offers...  :`

Is there any info just basically explaining Victory Decision as a game to the uninitiated?

Typical model counts? Minis scale? That kind of thing.

Thanks, Leon.

ViDe is just a set of rules. There are no "one and only one" models for it. Me and my friend are using 1/72 because it's cheap and available where we live. Usually one or two infantry boxes is all you need plus some (1-3 but can be more) Tanks/ACs/Arty. It really depends on what point ranges you are aiming. The cheapest army I have are british para (50 dudes for roughly 6$) which is around 1000-1300 points.
