Fantastic painting, but what bugs me is, why would you lavish such splendid painting on such mediochre figures?
I have this set, they are better than the old jungle fighters, but still pretty poor. Gw surely has figures that would be more worthy of such a great PJs.

Because

a. I have never seen them at golden demon mate, might give the judges a breath of fresh air from always seeing space marines.
b. I wanted to do a vietnam themed entry
c. I wanted a challenge and to see if I could polish a turd :)

Seriously, that HAS to be 54mm.....

Nurse!
My pills...... small shrubery of death..... wood stock..... wow!

Sorry Colonel - I fear too many Pink Gins and artillery explosions.

I know the name of a very good retirement home.....   lol lol

Know what you mean though - the detail is that good, but I dread to think of GW prices in 54mm    ::) ;)  lol

Gorgeous stuff.

But perfect example of why I don't enter painting contests.

Looking forward to more.

£18.50 per model compared to an andrea miniatures one of about £21, however the andrea models are all far superior and I wouldn't complain about parting with a few extra £'s for that extra quality

Gorgeous stuff.

Thanks matey, why dont you enter painting comps?  you have to excuse me I am slow on the uptake at 23:54hrs :)

Thanks matey

Next?

I have finished the sniper, I have done the green on the officer and I have done the entire camo on the flamer guy and attached the flamer.....I am however really tired and want to shoot some zombies for 20mins, so pictures will have to wait till tomorrow.....and on that note off to play left for dead 2

Never seen a 3D sniper/ghillie done as well....

If you did hm alone on a mega scenic base you could play spot the sniper for hours!

Aye, beautiful work. The camo is great. Did you use bandag-y type things or proper gaming products for the underlying mesh?

The sweat stain on the flamer guy's shirt is a nice touch! :)

When is the competition by the way?

Have to say that flame unit is a horrible bit of plastic, not your painting at all the sculpt, nasty.

I'd go for the long barrel of the plastic IG one and mate it to the SM flamer, still looks heavy but not shitty. ;)

Love that sniper bud, you'll have to give us a foilage breakdown.
