The Colonel Marbles/Frothers Unite was one of the inspirations for Alfie's Tenners. Over here, British comics are a rarity. Franco-Belgian comics are easier to find. But I liked the short, serialized, yet episodic format chocked full of action, so I had to find more.

Whilst it's not a "Comic" character, I've just given my SOTR Para-Commando Lieutenant a nice little Sean Connery mustache.

I haven't forgotten Namor, I'm a big fan of the Prince, I've just left him to last because I don't have a mini of him yet.

Hello im a really fan of prince Namor and i begin to play sotr games, and i read your adaptation rules, and is fantastic; recently i sculpt a mini of namor and if you like may be that you post namor rules for secrets of the third reich, i send you a copy of mini if you really like.
In few days i post a picture of mini, a lot of thanks and congratulations for this post.

Thanks for the offer, my notebook's gone for a wander since I moved house, but I think it goes something like this:

Namor - 16 RP (USA)
Equipment: Jetpack
Special Rules: Super Strength, Bulletproof, Thick Skull, Once and Invader, Hero of Freedom, Fast, Hover, Combat Monster

I'll try and find my notes and put it up again properly. But hey, there's nothing stopping you from having a go yourself.

Hello again as say to you, this is the model of Namor that i sculpt, i put on heroclix base and he has the new suit, but my sculpt original is dressed at the old suit.
In few time i put pictures of the model in old fashion, i hope that you like it and thanks for your adaptation rules.

Golden Age Namor is all fish-scale speedo, brother.

He has been the brunt of many a Axis soldier's joke but Atlantis' Avenging Son always has the last laugh.  Never smart to tease a guy who can throw a Jagdtiger over his shoulder.

I love this guy,
Brian

These are all very nice, but does anyone have suggestions for the Soviets ????
The obvious one is Rasputin as a Russian version of the Battle Chaplin but there must be others.

As for actual WWII 'era' (Nick Fury was a 70s character after all) Russians in comics, there's not a lot. But there's still some room to maneuver.

Rasputin as Kerocthi the Deathless with a small Cuthulu as his dog.
Red Ghost and a Giant Ape as Hammer and Sickle (working on this myself at the moment)
Babayaga and a hut as the above (I'm thinking the Warmachine Old Witch and the Dreamblade Hut)
Crimson Dynamo or Titanium man as a Guard Armour officer.
Ursa Major as a Urzine
Black Widow as a Survivor officer.
The Communist Red Skull

There's probably more, I vaguely remember an American pilot leading a squad of Russians (Johnny Red?).

Johnny's British, but yeah, same idea.

And there's always the reincarnation of Alexander Nevsky. Seems to pop up a lot in DC's Weird War comics (but nowhere near as much as vampires)

You could always make an Oktober Guard like in GI Joe but set in WWII.
