Rise of the Occulites - Luftles completed!
« on: June 06, 2011, 01:16:48 PM »
G'day guys,

Just got some more pics from Bob - the Luftles! The helper/slave race of the Occulite world, Luftles are viewed as equals only by the Palaudis tribe, who share their food and shelter with them freely.

They are cute little guys that are around half the size of an Occulite. So good for small figures in 28mm or can be used with 15mm figs.

Which one's your favourite?

Cheers,
Ben.

:-* They remind me of the Fraggles from Fraggle Rock:

I like the last one the best. I've no idea if I could use them, but they're still great. Might be able to use the big-eyed fellows you posted previously, though.

I like the chief/shaman looking guy at the bottom.  They are really neat, but I also like the original guys you posted best.

Certainly an interesting project you've started here - and Bob's done great so far. The miniatures surely looks tasty, and I really love the Occulites, but these new Luftles are great, too. My favourite must be the chief - but all are great.

Looking forward start seeing some casts, so we can start see some of them painted.

I really like these minis. Will there be rules and fluff to go with them? They are so unlike anything else out there. Kudos for taking your imagination to its limits and realising your dream for all of us to share. Well done. Count me in for a few packs and a rulebook (if) when released.

Thanks very much guys  :D

Little Odo, yes there is lots of fluff and there are rules being worked on as we speak.

I've asked you to stop doing this to me  lol

Every time I see these I get excited and wonder if I will be able to order before my 50th Birthday (October this year) or Christmas?

Remember I'm in the UK and need time for postmen to deliver...

 lol Sorry Andrew ;)

Well, the Palaudis Tribe models and the Luftles are currently winging their way across to Australia from the UK, so given there is three months between now and October, the chances are pretty good that you could have the figures in your hand before then (if everything goes smoothly). I can't promise anything, but its looking promising at least.  :D

I will keep you updated via here and the blog when I have information to give. Needless to say I'm very excited about it too.

Cheers,
Ben.
