NICE PROGRESS! I agree with Bloodysword...the woodwork on the shields looks TERRIFIC.

Thanks guys. @DeafNala, the woodwork is really easy. I got the effect like so:

1. Basecoat your shield in a midtone brown - In this case I used Calthan Brown from GW.
2. Wash the shield heavily with a black wash - I used Badab Black (GW)
3. Highlight the raised areas with Snakebite Leather (GW)
4. If you want to give your characters a bit more pop, just repeat step 3 with a bit of bone colour or an off white mixed in.

Also in the works...

I am currently working on a series of how to/step by step painting tutorials for Youtube. I'm currently a filmmaker/editor with little to show for on my showreel, so I figured why not combine the two hobbies/interests. I'll probably work on them until they have a nice, simple, professional layout, so they won't be some blurry SD video with a dull, unrehearsed voiceover, but will have a nice clear, easy to understand instructions, a list at the beginning of the video of what paints and tools are used etc.

The main videos I am working on currently are:
1. Skaven Clanrat - Step By Step (using my current scheme)
2. Warmachine Cygnar Warjack - Step by step
3. Eldar Striking Scorpion - Step by Step

Was also thinking of adding a few videos for beginners, sort of in the style of Privateer Press' great painting DVD, explaining basic drybrushing, basecoating, washes/shading, and layering, as well as some quick tips on basing models.
