Very nice uniforms and brushwork! Do you have any fluff for these guys or just the name so far?

Cheers  :D

The Kings German Rifle Brigade is made up from "Germanic" immigrants that live in Great Britain as well as 2nd generation relatives of German immigrants. They receive unofficial financial and material support from the German Aristocracy but none from the German Government, so all equipment is "surplus" out dated material.

Vickers were making German style helmets in the U.K. for export in the 1930's so they could be 'brand new'. I know that the Irish army in the 30's wore the Vickers helmet.

The 'Vickers' or M1927 helmet remained in service until 1940 when it was replaced by the MkII British helmet. In total 10,021 helmets which were ordered and issued in 'dark matt black green'. In 1940, after the outbreak of WW2, several thousand helmets were painted white and issued to the civil authorities. More recently, the Irish army crushed and bulldozed about 4,000 helmets into the ground during a construction project. The Vickers or M1927 helmet is now quite scarce and many worldwide helmet collectors are trying to obtain them.

A pity the Irish got rid of the M1927. They were fine helmets, and much more aesthetically pleasing than the hideous British kettles.

Unfortunately they were made of poor quality steel. The impetus to change came from a belief that the Germans were the most likely to invade (after the British!)

Forgot to say that Ireland tried to buy surplus/new helmets from Germany but trade restrictions on war material after WW1 prevented this.

So will elements of the KGRB be ready for Wednesday night's scuffle over the PO/duck pond/cider press/whatever the hell else Mick dreams up?  Very colourful looking unit and, headgear-wise, a nice change from kettles, fedoras and berets.
