Part 2 - Indian Mutiny New Project

Hi all.
Took delivery of remainder of my Indian Mutiny stuff from Old Glory on Tuesday and also a pack of Foundry brits via Dave Thomas. Started painting them and thought Id post some pics of what I have completed this week. Cannons are from old Prince August Mold I had laying around so very cheap. Anyway hope you enjoy. Should have my Ghurkas done by end of tomorrow and cavlary, commanders, and other personalities done over next couple of weeks.

Speedbrush, indeed! Nice work, evidently suitable for the games table! The red looks a bit glossy, but at the same time, it gives them a nice, "toy soldier-y" feel, if you know what I mean.

Thanks. Not sure where the gloss look comes from, they dont look like that in reality. Mayby i'll give them another coat of matt varnish just in case.

Before you do that, can I just make a tiny suggestion for your Brits in red. You could think about adding facing colours to them, to give them a regimental identity. On the shell jackets the collar and cuffs would normally be in the regimental facing colour what ever it was. Just a thought.

Trooper, thanks for the advice I will go back and do those. Been painting Ghurkas this week so a change from green will be nice
