I can see your point, mate, but I think that the grey clashes badly with the orangy colours....not sure....

:o By the power of grey skull!
Mason, that's BRILLIANT!

What a fantastic setting, those buildings really work well together. If your paint the roofs the same colour, it will help to tie them together, but I would not fear too much about clashing colours. They aren't purple and green! The grey buildings have a little yellow/brown in the walls and the yellow buildings have grey tones in the walls. As I see it it's a 2 colour palette, yellowey brown and grey.

I love the modular floor tiles which conveniently fit in a PAPPIS box for stacking, and how the buildings float on top. But even more impressive are those scratch built ruins. The foamcore walls really work for the whitewashed/rendered brick! The destroyed timbers in the corners of the buildings look fantastic!

Cheers

Most excellent. Your attention to detail is astounding :-* :-*

Thanks, Oleary!
I am glad that you approve.
The 'little bits' can be a little time consuming, but I think they are worth it in the end.

Thanks, Matt!
Your comments regarding the colours have given me something to think about.
Maybe if I just do a little work on the orange rooftops to vary the tone a little, that may well be the answer.
And, more importantly, a damn sight quicker to achieve!

You should be able to wash them in a browny grey and drybrush them up n a light grey, that might work  :)

Dear me, that really is a splendid set up you've got yourself now. And you've got to love the Nautalus!

It wouldnt mean too much messing about, I know.
As they come in the most amazing amount of protective packaging (those of you with one of the eM4 buildings will know exactly what I mean), it could well be worth it....gotta be worth a go, at least, I reckon.
 :D

Thanks, Old Bean!

I have to agree: I dont think the Docks look right without the Barrel-sub.
A lovely little model.

I have an Undead version that does not get onto the table too often.
I should probably dig that up and post a pic at some point.
It is quite amusing.

This is wonderfully fantastic! The small details really do bring a lot of life even without the minis. I like the lampposts very much, but the decrepit buildings are my personal favorite. Nothing says "Look behind you!" like ruins.

I've really enjoyed watching you put this magnificence all together. Hope you enjoy them!

What's this I hear about selling the halfing project?! o_o
If that is true I call first dibs on hearing your asking price! I would be honored to own any property in Krappefortt!  :)

Your thread has gotten at least two of my friends to build their own warbands and start to lurk on this site.

Ok, mate, you will be the first to know.
You were the one to pounce on an off-the-cuff comment which led to me building it in the first place, after all.
 :D

That is what this place is all about, I reckon.
It is down to those who put up such wonderful projects on here that inspire me.
Nice to know it works the other way and I have inspired someone else.
 :)

It has, mate.
I feel the need to make something else soon.
 ;)

Still no pile :'

Just for you, you nutter......

....you asked for a pile on the table.
 :D

This is the only way I was going to 'pile it up' as requested.

This is all the buildings and smaller pieces of Krappefortt, as they live in the cupboard.

I hope that you are satisfied now, Skander!

I can relate. That's how most all of my creations over all these long years have & are displayed. I think I'll wander outside for a good scream.
