pirates

I see there is a list of pirate ships,
and a list of small boats and vessels.
Can someone give me a list of model suppliers? I know of places like hasslefree, scorpion and reaper,
but what of the less mentioned ones that may have some hidden beauties?

I assume you mean Pirate figures?

If you want 28mm then Foundry has the biggest range and probably my favourite with the number of variants you get.
There are other nice figures by Artizan and Crusader Miniatures, as well as Redoubt and Dixon Miniatures both doing comprehensive ranges of 28mm figures.
Black Cat have a range of more Heroic scale 28s including some Royal Navy types.
Musketeer Miniatures have a couple of pirate captains including a not Jack Sparrow figure.

Have I missed anyone?

If you want the Pirates of the Caribbean's Davey Jones, they are here in 28mm...

Tale of War's Ron and Bones...  very HEROIC scale (close to 30mm...).  Does not mix well with Foundry.
Kinda Cartoony, but I really love the flavor...

Yes I came across Brigade recently - they do some nice Royal navy crewmen and Officers, south american indians in their caribbean empire range and also a spanish captain and crew, which finally means some figs to crew a spanish galleon that can be the target of a pirate/privateer raid :-)
