Daemonettes Alternatives?
« on: June 29, 2011, 03:14:10 AM »
Any suggestion from you fine folks as to a good alternative to mix in with Daemonettes of Slaanesh in a Warhammer fantasy army? I would be using mostly older versions - the 6th edition 'sexy' ones, not the new plastics or the older school 'claws bigger than they are' versions - and I want something to make them more chaotic and less uniform.

I believe that there are a few decent sexy Daemonette-types scattered through the Hasslefree and Heresy ranges, and frankly you can't go anywhere on the CMON (Cool Mini Or Not) webstore without tripping over a bevy of sexy succubus-types...  ::)

I've also seen some interesting Daemonette conversions using plastic GW Dryads.

Why not use the plastic deamonettes? They are some of the finest plastic models GW has to offer 8)

The plastics are very 'meh' for me. I'll have a box or two mixed in, but I need better variety.
Reaper and CMON are good hints, though...

Gamezone was mentioned before but I think you should take a look at those...personally I think that they are awesome.

What about Dark Elf Wytches?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I have been thinking of expanding my daemon army into the slaanesh direction as well, and I have been looking at some of the hasslefree miniatures girls for herralds, tough I was planning to "cover up" a bit, probably going to sculpt on a "strategically placed" tongue wrapping around the whole body. Not sure if building an entire unit out of them would be doable, but it might just be enough to give your opponent a nosebleed.
