28mm is probably the best bet given the existing market, terrain availability and general prejudices 

I'm not prejudiced, I will buy metal, plastic AND pre-paints - as long as it's 28mm'ish - AT-43/DUST Tactics - I'm looking at you.

I voted for it. There are many scales but 15mm is the true scale.

As to the poll.... 28mm of course, perferably with a height and proportion that is in keeping with Hasslefree and Infinity.

I voted for 28. But I also play in 15mm too.

And to be honest I vote 15mm because that is what I settled on.

I long considered 1:35th/54mm due to the amount of modeling support it has. but then I started pricing model vehicles.

But really it is the choice of the players in your crowd. My crowd does 15mm mostly because I started collecting it and no other reason.

As another point in favor of 15mm ease of painting for the table top, there is no where near the detail on your average 15mm figure that there can be on your average 28mm, so painting is streamlined.

But if you do a lot of conversions 28mm is so much easier.

15mm gets my vote but it was a pretty close run thing - I also use 28mm's and have some 10mm's individually based too.  I just get more gaming in with 15mm because of it's convenience, both for storage and play area.  Finances also let me explore more factions in 15 than 28mm.
