OH BABY! I REALLY hope that is for real...I LOVE the Confrontation/Rackham line of minis.

Unfortunately (?), from what I've heard, the re-releases are likely to be in resin. AFAIK, they did not get production moulds, but the masters, and went for resin moulds, most likely to cut back on material costs.

This will make the minis less attractive for gaming use, I'm afraid, and possibly more aimed at the collector. I probably won't be buying resin ones as I constantly had problems with limbs and weapons snapping off with the metal ones. That said, I guess it will boil down to price and availability.

I'm not happy with the switch to resin, but I am interested to see exactly what figures they will be (re)releasing.

To judge by the press release, these will be small "boutique" runs, not practical for building effective units or armies, but time will tell.

I actually never really liked their style. It was always too weird for my taste. Though the quality was of the sculpting was really exceptional from what I've seen.
