best paint for colonial british

i was wondering what the best paint from the vallejo range for painting colonial british uniform for the trouses ive tried many colours such as magic blue then adding a blue shade ink but cnt quite get it the way i want it.

Thomas, can I suggest you switch to Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue 70899, add a touch of matt black for your base colour, and then just a light highlight of the blue with a small touch of white, that should look just right. As for the tunics, the basic Vallejo flat red, and then highlight with orange. Hope this is of help.

I also like dark Prussian blue highlighted with Prussian blue. For the reds I start with burnt cadmium red, mid tone of cavalry brown, and highlight of flat red (scarlet for officers).
