By Chris Peers and illustrated by Ian Heath - it has to be good.  :)

At last the Azande will be covered  ;D

Lets see how many of us have got them painted wrong  ::)  lol

As usual, I'll wait until it's on special offer, but I definitely need this one!

This book was supposed to have been released in May or June. My copy has been on order with Amazon since April. I really hope that when they say coming soon, they mean it will only be a few weeks now!

I'm not really compaining about the delay, I'm just itching to get my hands on it.

This book was supposed to have been released in May or June...

When I put it on order at Amazon uk back in February it had a release date of 1 March, so only four or five months late then...

Thats quite a delay then! I wonder what has held back the books release for so long?

The release date now for this book is July 29th. So not much longer to wait now!  :)

My copy of Central Africa arrived from Amazon.co.uk today. Looks great (except Amazon put a sticky label on the back with a bar code which was a real bugger to get off and has left a sticky mark :-(  )

Best news was that since I'd had it on order since February, the price variation meant that I only paid £18 for it.

Shall sit back with a beer this afternoon and have a quiet read...

Ordered my copy today from the Book Depository via Amazon.fr for the princely sum of €22 including postage, which is about equivalent to your 18 quid (the price tag on the Foundry website is €48). Delivery in about a week's time : the countdown has started.

I received my copy today, after great anticipation. After a quick flip-through, my first impressions are very positive. Of course, I assumed it would be on par with the previous volume. Quite a few photos and drawings I haven't seen before, which is exciting to me including a great image of a fortified village with a massively thick tembe-style wall. I've laid off Darkest Africa for quite some time (excepting the batches I did for LPL) and this book has rekindled the flame. Huzzah!
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.
