Question - Snap Fire
« on: September 13, 2011, 09:17:00 PM »
Hi Agis,

just one question. Is there a optional rule planned for the future like "snap fire" (or something like "Feuerbereitschaft" = standby in the 3rd Edition of W40K).
In ViDe a unit can operate during its Movement Step just before the barrels of the enemy.
But in reality an enemy would react in such a case.
I think that's the only rule I'm missing in Vide.

Hi Koppi,
a reaction rule (aka snap fire, aka Overwatch) was discussed already here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=29938.0
IMO the game not really needs it, since the alternate unit activation and the option to hide your units will prevent most awkward situations.

Just out of curiosity, have you played the game already or just read the rules?
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

First game will be at the end of october. We have there a hobby meeting and ViDe will be one of our favorite games at this weekend.
I'm the most theoretical guy in wargamers history, I know .... ;)
