A new WIP sculpt for Forge of Ice.

Been working with the wonderful and esteemed Alex from Forge of Ice to realise a concept he had for some scenery.  It's about 70% done and I'm aiming to be done by the end of the week. Thought you guys might like a look at the progress as it happens

Looking good so far. Really like the head on the creature.

What's the plinth made from, or how did you get that texture on it? Snazzy bas-reliefs too.

I probably made it the long way round really - i scrunched up tin foil to the aproximate shape and then applied layes of green stuff, kept working it flat on a hard surface.  When I got it about right I used various grades of sandpapaper to push the texture in, along with a few textures using pointy instruments etc. 

Next time I would probably cut the shape from wood and put flat sheets of putty iver the top.

It's in two pieces, the top is separate from the base (it should be easier to cast this way).



The base may possibly be useful as a separate piece, too.

That should be fixed by January, too.
